Things to Do

Coffee and Breakfast

We LOVE Tatte for breakfast, pastries, and coffee. We first discovered our love for this beautiful coffee shop when Adeline was living in Boston during college and luckily they have a location in Old Town. Call Your Mother is a cult favorite bagel shop in Old Town and their bagel sandwiches are one of our favorites. Misha’s has 2 locations in Old Town (one is next to Hotel Indigo) and they are a local favorite for a cup of coffee (or espresso martini!).

Eat! Drink!

There are a number of delicious places to grab a drink or something to eat. Adeline’s brothers swear the burger at The Majestic (911 King Street) is one of the best they have had and they offer a delicious brunch as well. Barca Pier and Wine Bar (2 Pioneer Mill Way) is on the river and has tapas plus a very fun atmosphere. Some of our favorites when we are in town include Urbano 116 for margs, queso, and tacos; Fish Market Bar and Restaurant for seafood; and finally, Murphy’s or O’Connell’s for a beer and classic Irish bar experience.

Old Town Farmer’s Market

The Old Town Farmer’s Market happens rain or shine every Saturday from 7am to 12pm. It is the oldest farmer’s market to be held continuously in the same location. They have fresh produce, pastries, and a smaller selection of breakfast items available. It is always packed and popular! It’s also conveniently located down the street from Tatte and in front of the City Hall. Fun fact: George Washington sent his produce to be sold at the market!

Experience Old Town

Our favorite thing to do in Old Town is the most simple: strolling King Street and popping into the local boutiques. There are seemingly endless stores to pop into that are impeccably curated. We often grab a coffee or a drink while we are out meandering. For those who want to experience some of the history Old Town has to offer, there are both historic walking tours and Ghost Tours available.
